Winterberry

Winter (full name Winterberry) had a bit of a rough start... he was sold at a very young age and his wings clipped, and then sadly bullied by a cage mate, affecting his confidence and growth.

Thankfully after some time his family realised what was happening and wanted to make sure Winter is able to continue to grow in confidence and regain his flight when his wing feathers grow back (we are suspecting it is that combined with malnutrition, rather than French moult, which can look similar).

Thank you to his family for wanting the best for Winter.

Just like with kids (or adults!), not getting along with the birds around them does not mean a budgie is antisocial and will hate all other birds, and should be kept separately; it just means their personalities don't match and they haven't naturally connected - budgies are known to be as fussy with friends as humans are In a flock of thousands, they have plenty to choose from... and we're hoping Winter will find that here.
