Animal rescue is tough, emotionally, physically, and financially, and only becoming more so with the world’s increasing challenges.
We believe rescues need to help and support each other—for the people and the animals. This is the motivation behind Rescues Helping Rescues—to help others on their mission to save animals, and to highlight organisations already doing amazing work. Nominate an organisation or individual to be featured here, and in our fortnightly e-news.
This issue we’re highlighting the work of SoCal Parrot, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of Southern California's wild, naturalised parrots.
SoCal is the only facility doing wild parrot rehabilitation in California, so the majority of all injured, wild parrots make their way to them for care.
Most years, they see between 150–200 parrots and do everything they possibly can for each individual to give them the best chance of living a wild, free life once again.
To get in contact with SoCal Parrot, visit their website www.socalparrot.org. Also check out their Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
Thanks so much to SoCal Parrot for their important work.
If you have a rescue or individual you’d like to help or spotlight, please contact us with details.
