Animal rescue is tough, emotionally, physically, and financially, and only becoming more so with the world’s increasing challenges.

We believe rescues need to help and support each other—for the people and the animals. This is the motivation behind Rescues Helping Rescues—to help others on their mission to save animals, and to highlight organisations already doing amazing work. Nominate an organisation or individual to be featured here, and in our fortnightly e-news.

This week we’re putting the spotlight on Wild Exotics Animal Refuge, a New Jersey non-profit corporation providing sanctuary for the discarded animals of the exotic pet trade.

Wild Exotics Animal Refuge is dedicated to the advocacy and elimination of exotic breeding mills, while working in education and compassion. They take in animal surrenders, work on active rescue cases, and provide life-saving medical care to exotic animals in need.
