Sunny the budgie

Where to start with this one?
One of the worst cases of (possible) neglect I've seen. The feathers are messy and uneven, and most of the body is bare - whether from plucking, malnutrition or something else, we don't know yet. The scaly mites have affected his beak, but hopefully not too much. His keel bone is visible, although he's a decent weight - we're keeping an eye to see if that's steady or decreasing. His toes... Ouch. They've been clipped, but still pretty nasty looking.
He was found and taken to a vet, who treated him for scaly mites (the treatment with ivermectin will continue for the next few weeks). He was then collected by my wonderful friend and rescue partner Little Rescue who began the healing process.
He's now with us. And will be getting a proper diagnosis asap. For now though, he's got seed with The Good Oil mixed in, as well as some of Peter's Mix from Eclectus By Design for an added boost. He's being wormed. At the advice of Clare from G’Day Birdie Sanctuary, we've also provided some neocare for added nutrition and to hopefully boost weight and general health. (Thank you to Clare for your ongoing support )
He has a lot of energy and we'll do whatever we can to get him to his best health, and hopefully give him a quality life from here.
