Animal rescue is tough, emotionally, physically, and financially, and only becoming more so with the world’s increasing challenges.

We believe rescues need to help and support each other—for the people and the animals. This is the motivation behind Rescues Helping Rescues—to help others on their mission to save animals, and to highlight organisations already doing amazing work. Nominate an organisation or individual to be featured here, and in our fortnightly e-news.

This issue we’re highlighting the work of Keeks’ Birdhouse, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organisation for abandoned, neglected and surrendered pets like parrots, small mammals and reptiles.

Based out of Miami, Florida, their sole purpose is to give the animals who live as captive pets the most comfortable and natural life while they are with them; as well as educating with community on proper animal care and the importance of adopting versus supporting breeders.
